How To Wear Dark Floral Dresses

If you are looking for fresh ideas for fall/winter, pull out your dark floral dresses. We have all heard the notion that floral prints are normally identified with spring. This year we are breaking all the rules, you can pick any print and I guarantee you, it is trending right now.

The best way to wear a floral dress at this time of the year is to change your color palette. Incorporate darker color and warm tones like this dress I’m wearing.  I’m wearing a Wilfred Tilda dress that I got from Aritzia. It’s easy to wear and I love long sleeves. This dress has a sexy thigh slit that adds movement as you walk.

I paired the dress with thigh-high boots and a red-orange long coat. I bought these boots last year and It’s going to be my go-to this year as well. Even though the boots have a heel to it, its comfortable to walk in:).

Depending on where you live you can pair the dress with a blazer if you like. But since I live in Manitoba, and the weather can literally change in the blink of an eye. I opted out and chose the red coat to go with my dark floral dress.  An ankle-skimming coat is a great way to everyday elegance.

I added accessories to finish the look. A layered necklace which adds radiance and beauty to the style. A nice black bag from Aldo‘s to carry all my makeup, phone, and my planner. This fedora hat which adds city style and endless 70’s flair.Last but not least my sunglasses, which I can’t leave the house without.
