BLUE & FUR
BLUE & FUR
Hello September!
The weather is still tranquil, but there is a little chill in the air. The leaves are changing colour and soon autumn will be here, but the change in season needn’t be cause for dread – if you meet it with some style and little hollywood glamour that is.
Hence, my concept for the latest shoot: BLUE & FUR. The idea for this shoot was to create a cool night-like atmosphere with the use of blue colored gels, and to pair it with the vibrancy of our model, warmth of the fur she would display, and a red rim light.
After all the prep work, we got to the studio, and the uncomfortable truth finally hit me; the studio didn’t have any gels. YIKES! I know huh… what’s a girl to do? Change the concept all together or stick with it? I stuck to my guns and decided to play with the exposure in postproduction to attain the tone I desired. I would not be so easily discouraged and a plan B; if there was ever one, was now in effect. To achieve my goal, I used Alien Exposure 7 (I strongly suggest that you do a google search just to see the amazing cabalities of this program).
Sometimes as artists we run into complications with our project, but it is important to be adaptable, because a snag in the plan can be an oppurtunity for the unforseen. The results can be even greater than your original vision.
XOXO
